Who's who

Citygate church is led by a team of elders who carry responsibility for the church and its direction. Helping them along the way are a dedicated and passionate staff team! We also recognise several Deacons who are outstanding in their contributions to the life of Citygate.

Russell White

Russell White

I have been an elder at Citygate now for over 10 years and in January 2017 took on the role of leading the eldership team, with responsibility for the vision, direction and spiritual life of Citygate. I am married to Catherine and love being out and about with her and my three great kids. I enjoy all sports and go to the beach often!

Guy Miller

Guy Miller

I moved to Bournemouth with my wife Heather and our children in 1999 to lead Citygate. In the January of 2017 I handed over this role to Russell as I devote my time to leading a sphere of churches within the Newfrontiers family, called Commission. I am a keen fisherman as well as a passionate conservationist.

Mick Taylor

Mick Taylor

My main responsibility is serving as Director of Training for the Commission sphere of Newfrontiers churches. I also help Citygate church with teaching, preaching and Leadership Development. I am married to Val and have two adult daughters and am also the provider of Coca-Cola when the staff need it!

Eireana Joseph

I'm the Pastoral Development Lead for Citgygate Church - my main responsibilities are supporting Russell and the elders in developing the vision and strategy for anything pastoral or church community-focused, as well as developing teams and leaders. I like to spend any spare time I have with my boyfriend and my dog. I love reading, people, theatre and live music.

Adam Parrett

Adam Parrett

I am the pastoral worker in Citygate Church and I love my job because I love people. This includes welcoming, helping people into our community and caring for them on the journey. I like people so much that I have four kids at home so I really am surrounded all of the time!

Claire Kenny

Claire Kenny

I have worked as Office Secretary since the Citygate Centre opened in Sept. 2013. My responsibilities include front desk reception, admin and PA/secretarial support. My idea of a heavenly spent day is to pack up a scrumptious, home baked picnic and cycle off on adventures new with my beloved family.

Sean Theunissen

Sean Desmond Theunissen

I started working for Citygate Church in 2008 and oversee Finance and HR for Citygate Church, Citygate Events and Commission. I also oversee our corporate worship at Citygate which is such a privilege. I have a wonderful wife and four amazing kids and when I’ve got any spare time I like to play Cricket, Tennis and Squash.

John Morton

John Morton

I have, with Sarah, been at Citygate for approaching 20 years now. We have four grown-up children, and one grandchild. I enjoy most forms of watersport particularly windsurfing and sailing. I have worked in the NHS for most of my career as an engineer and a manager. My job at Citygate is new and is to support Russell and the leadership team to implement vision and strategy for growth and to support the office team.

Michael Pomeroy

I am responsible for overall management of the venue and operations team. I work with both external clients and the Church admin team to deliver their events and activities.

Andi Northrop

Andi Northrop

I’ve worked for Citygate since October 2009 and I look after communications and IT. I’m married to Sophie and have two daughters, Amber and Clara, who I’m training to love gadgets as much as I do.

Heather Miller

Heather Miller

I have worked at Citygate for over 10 years and in varied roles. I oversee key women's events and am involved in many aspects of social action based ministries in the church. I also travel in the UK and overseas with Guy, my husband, on ‘Commission’ ministry. I love walking, doing art projects with people and laughing with my kids.

Jim Salway

Jim Salway

I am married to Sue and have three grown up children. We’ve been part of this church for over 20 years, and I have been a trustee nearly all of that time. My favourite pastime is cycle rides together.

Nick and Cherry White

Nick and Cherry White

We came to Citygate church five years ago and we serve the church pastorally and believe that people are important. We have two sons and five grandchildren and love being with family walking and exploring the area.
